How to Use Scout to Find B2B Leads by Location
Scout turns a plain-language description of your ideal prospect into a targeted business or people search. Tell Scout who you want to reach and where they should be located, then refine the results before saving them to your CRM.
Start a Scout search
- Open Scout from the main menu.
- If this is your first search, review and accept the Scout terms of use.
- In What are we scouting today?, describe the people or businesses you want to find.
- Include useful targeting details such as role, seniority, industry, company type and location.
For example:
Marketing directors at SaaS companies in London
or:
Independent dental clinics within 20 km of central Athens
- Send your request. Scout creates a search session and asks follow-up questions when it needs more detail.
Set the search area
When Scout needs a precise area, the location picker opens.
- Type an address, city or region, or choose Use my current location.
- Move the radius control to choose a narrow neighborhood, a city and its suburbs, or a wider region.
- Choose the search language when relevant.
- Confirm the location so Scout can continue.
The current area appears beside the Scout conversation. Select it whenever you need to change the location.
Review and refine results
Scout shows matching prospects beside the conversation. You can:
- Switch between grid and list layouts
- Search within the results
- Sort by relevance, date, rating or review count
- Filter by rating, number of reviews, website, phone, opening hours and business type
- Ask Scout to narrow or adjust the search in the chat
For people searches, describe the role, seniority, industry and location. Once the filters are ready, click Run search to retrieve matching people.
AI credits
Scout shows your available balance before a search. A real search uses AI credits, and the cost is shown in the interface before you continue. Enrichment for verified contact details is a separate action and may use additional credits.
If you do not have enough credits, Scout will offer a top-up or show the plan needed to continue.
Get better matches
- Use a specific city or radius instead of a country-wide request.
- Include the buyer's role, not only the company industry.
- Mention exclusions such as company sizes or business types you do not want.
- Review the first results and ask Scout to refine them rather than starting over.
- Set up your AI Brain so Scout understands your offer and ideal customer.
