Available Automation Triggers Explained

Learn about the different types of automated triggers available in your AI CRM to effortlessly kick off your networking and follow-up workflows.

In your automation setup, a Trigger represents the "When" part of your workflow. It is the specific event that our platform watches for. Once this event occurs, the system activates and immediately executes your configured Actions.

Below is the complete list of available triggers categorized by the area of your CRM they monitor.

Contacts Triggers

These triggers fire based on activity within your address book.

When a new contact is created

This trigger fires the moment a contact is added to your workspace. This applies regardless of how the contact was added:

  • Digital business card Exchange forms
  • Google Contacts sync
  • AI Card Scan
  • Manual entry

When a contact is updated

This trigger fires whenever an existing contact's profile is edited or enriched with new information.

Tags Triggers

Tag triggers are ideal for segmentation and advanced follow-up sequences.

When a tag is added to a contact

This trigger fires the moment a specific tag is applied to any contact.

How it works: When you select this trigger, a dropdown will appear asking you to choose the exact tag to listen for (e.g., "Warm Lead" or "Investor"). The automation will only fire when that specific tag is used.

Pipelines Triggers

Pipeline triggers help you automate your sales and deal-tracking processes.

When a card lands in a pipeline step

This trigger fires when a deal card enters a specific column of your sales pipeline.

How it works: You will be prompted to select which Pipeline to monitor, and then choose the specific Step (column) within that pipeline. For example, you can trigger an automated email to send the moment you drag a client's card into the "Contract Sent" column.

Tasks Triggers

Task triggers keep your to-do lists and client updates perfectly synced.

When a task is created

Fires instantly when any new task is generated in your workspace.

When a task is marked completed

Fires the moment you check a task off as "done." This is incredibly useful for triggering automated update emails to clients to let them know their request has been fulfilled.

💡 Pro Tip: Forward-Only Execution

Automations only run moving forward! If you set up an automation that triggers "When a new contact is created," it will only apply to contacts added after you click Save. It will not retroactively apply to the contacts already stored in your CRM.
