Enable Lead Capture on Your Digital Business Card

Turn your digital business card into a powerful lead generation tool by enabling its built-in lead capture form. This allows anyone who views your card to easily submit their contact information directly into your system, transforming casual connections into valuable CRM contacts.

This guide will walk you through activating the form, customizing the information you collect, and setting up an automated welcome email for new leads.

Step 1: Enable the Exchange Form

First, you need to activate the lead capture feature.

  1. Open your Card Editor.
  2. Navigate to the Lead Capture settings.
  3. In the Lead Capture & Welcome Email window, find the Form section.
  4. Click the toggle switch labeled Enable Exchange Info form to turn on the feature.

Step 2: Customize Your Form Fields

Once the form is active, you can define precisely what information you want to gather.

Manage Input Fields

In the Fields section, you can control each field:

  • Edit Labels and Keys: Change the Label (what the visitor sees, e.g., "Company Name") and the internal Key (how the data is stored in your CRM). The Key will automatically adjust to be CRM-friendly (no spaces or special characters).
  • Set Required Fields: Use the Required toggle to make certain fields mandatory before a visitor can submit the form.
  • Hide Fields: Temporarily remove a field from view without deleting it by turning off its Enabled toggle.
  • Add Custom Fields: Click the Add Field button to create custom questions unique to your needs.
  • Remove Fields: Permanently delete a field by clicking the red Trash icon next to it.

Step 3: Set Up the Automated Welcome Email

Impress new leads immediately by sending a personalized welcome email automatically upon form submission.

  1. Scroll down to the Welcome Email section.
  2. Turn on the Send welcome email after submission toggle.
  3. Craft a compelling Subject line for your email.
  4. Specify a Reply-To email address. Replies to the automated email will be directed here.
  5. Write your message in the Body text area.

Step 4: Save Your Settings

After configuring your form fields and welcome email, ensure your changes are applied.

  • Click the Done button, located in the bottom right corner of the window, to save all your lead capture settings.
