How to Add FAQs and Essential Information for Attendees

Clear event information reduces repetitive questions and helps attendees arrive prepared. Banana separates detailed questions and answers from quick practical highlights, location, and schedule information.

Add event FAQs

  1. Open Events and select your event.
  2. Open the event editor.
  3. Select FAQs.
  4. Enter a question and its answer.
  5. Choose Add question for each additional entry.
  6. Save the section when the list is complete.

Only rows with a question are saved. Write answers that are specific enough to be useful without requiring an attendee to contact your team again.

Useful topics include:

  • Arrival and check-in
  • What to bring
  • Accessibility
  • Dress code
  • Ticket transfers or entry requirements
  • Food and refreshments
  • Photography or recording
  • Event-day support

Add quick practical highlights

Open Highlight info to configure:

  • Check-in window before event — choose the number of minutes or hours before the event when check-in begins. This option is not shown for expo events.
  • Age restriction — choose All ages, Age restricted, or Guardian required. For an age-restricted event, enter the minimum age.
  • Parking — choose Free, Paid, or No parking.

These highlights should match the detailed instructions in your description and FAQs.

Check the core event information

Review the other editor sections that shape the attendee experience:

  • Event information for the event name, description, and brand color
  • Date & time for the schedule and recurrence
  • Location for the venue address, map, or online meeting information
  • Agenda for session-by-session timing
  • Tickets for entry options and availability

Do not rely on an FAQ to correct an incomplete date, location, or ticket setup. Put each detail in its dedicated section so Banana can display it correctly.

Write effective answers

  • Start with a direct answer, then add necessary context.
  • Use exact times and locations rather than “early” or “nearby.”
  • Keep policies consistent with ticket terms and event agreements.
  • Include an event-day contact method where appropriate.
  • Update answers as soon as plans change.

For example:

Question: Is parking available at the venue?

Answer: Yes. Free parking is available in the east car park from 8:00 AM. Accessible spaces are beside the main entrance and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Publish and verify the information

Save each section, then publish the event when all required details are complete. On the public event page, attendees can review the event overview, location, agenda, speakers, and the dedicated FAQs section.

After publishing, open the public page and check it as an attendee would. Confirm that dates, timezone, location, check-in details, age restrictions, parking, and answers all agree. If plans change, update the relevant section and review the public page again.
