How to Build and Publish an Event Agenda

An event agenda helps attendees understand what is happening, when each session begins, and how the day is structured. In Banana, you can organize the agenda by day and add as many items as your event needs.

Open the Agenda section

  1. Open Events and select the event you want to manage.
  2. Open the event editor.
  3. Select Agenda.

If your event already has dated event sessions, Banana can prepare matching agenda days. Otherwise, start with the first day and add the schedule manually.

Name each agenda day

Give each day a useful title, especially for a multi-day event. Examples include:

  • Day 1 · Conference
  • Day 2 · Workshops
  • Friday · Main Stage

The day title appears with its items grouped beneath it. Add or remove days as your programme changes.

Add agenda items

For each session, select Add item, then complete:

  • Title — a concise session name
  • Description — what attendees will learn or experience
  • Start time and End time

Descriptions can include formatted text, bullet points, and links. Use them for the topic, format, room, expected audience, or preparation instructions.

The start time cannot be later than the end time. Banana will ask you to correct an invalid order.

Draft a session with AI

Select Write with AI inside an agenda item. Describe the speaker, topic, format, duration, and preferred tone. Review the generated title and description, edit anything that needs changing, then apply it.

AI output is a draft. Check names, facts, timing, and event-specific details before saving.

Connect speakers to sessions

Save your agenda items before linking speakers. Then open Speakers and use Select linked agenda items on a speaker profile to associate them with one or more sessions.

Save and publish the agenda

Save the Agenda section when the schedule is ready. The agenda remains part of the event draft until the event itself is published.

When all required event details are complete:

  1. Continue through the event editor.
  2. Select Publish.
  3. Review the public event address.
  4. Choose Publish now.

Publishing makes the event page public and displays the agenda as a timeline. If the event is already live, save your changes and review the public page to confirm the updated schedule.

Agenda writing tips

  • Use consistent title styles across sessions.
  • Include breaks, registration, networking, and closing activities.
  • Keep descriptions focused on attendee value.
  • Double-check the event timezone and session times.
  • Link speakers only after the relevant agenda items exist.
  • Review the public page before sharing it.
