How to View Check-in Drop-off Rates
Understanding the gap between the number of people who registered for your event and those who actually attended is essential for evaluating your event's success. By tracking your check-in drop-off rates—often called the no-show rate—you can better analyze attendee engagement and refine your marketing strategies for future events. Banana makes it easy to monitor these attendance metrics in real-time.
Follow these steps to locate and view your drop-off rates within the Banana platform.
Accessing Your Event Analytics
- Navigate to the Events Dashboard: Log into your Banana account and select the Events tab from the main navigation menu to view your list of past, active, and upcoming events.
- Select Your Event: Click on the specific event name to open its dedicated Event Management page.
- Open Event Analytics: Locate the Analytics (or Reports) tab in the top menu or sidebar. This section aggregates all data regarding ticket sales, page views, registrations, and on-site attendance.
Interpreting Drop-off Metrics
Once you are in the Analytics section, scroll down to the Attendance or Check-in Metrics area. You will find the following data:
- Registrations vs. Check-ins: A chart or progress bar displaying the total tickets claimed versus the number of attendees successfully checked in at the door.
- Drop-off Rate: A specific percentage metric labeled as Drop-off Rate or No-Show Rate, representing the proportion of registrants who did not attend.
Pro-Tip for Better Engagement
You can take immediate action based on this data. Go to your event's Attendees list and filter by Unchecked or No-Show. From there, you can send a targeted bulk email to these individuals, offering them event recordings, presentation slides, or a recap of the content they missed.
