How to Track Ticket Sales and Revenue Over Time

Monitoring ticket sales and revenue throughout your event campaign is essential for measuring marketing effectiveness, predicting final attendance, and managing cash flow. Banana provides built-in financial reporting tools that allow you to track performance trends across days, weeks, or months.

Follow this guide to locate and use the financial tracking features within the Banana platform.

Accessing Your Financial Analytics

To view your event data, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Events Dashboard: Log into your Banana account and click the Events tab in the main navigation menu.
  2. Select Your Event: Locate the specific event you wish to analyze from your list to open the event-specific dashboard.
  3. Open Financial Analytics: In the top sub-menu or sidebar, click the Analytics (or Reports) tab, then select Revenue or Ticket Sales to open the tracking interface.

Analyzing Sales and Revenue Trends

Once inside the dashboard, use these tools to visualize your event's performance:

The Revenue Graph

This interactive line graph displays cumulative revenue and daily sales spikes. Use this to identify which days generated the most income for your event.

Date Range Controls

Use the date filters located at the top of the chart to customize your view. You can select preset ranges like Last 7 Days or Last 30 Days, or define a Custom Range to analyze the entire duration of your pre-sale period.

Ticket Type Breakdown

Review the data table located below the chart to see how specific ticket tiers—such as Early Bird, General Admission, or VIP—are performing over time.

Pro Tip: Look for specific spikes in your revenue timeline and cross-reference them with your marketing calendar. This helps you identify exactly which email campaigns, social media posts, or discount codes are driving the highest volume of ticket purchases.
