Appointments vs Classes vs Courses

When you create a service, Banana asks What kind of service?

Appointment

One-to-one or small group meetings that clients book during your available times. Examples: consultations, haircuts, demos.

Class

Recurring group sessions, for example every Monday and Wednesday at 6pm. Clients pick one session to join. Examples: yoga, fitness, workshops.

  • Each session has a Capacity (number of seats).
  • Clients can buy single sessions, packs or a free trial with pricing options.

Course

A fixed program with several sessions. One enrollment covers every session. Examples: an 8-week language course or a bootcamp.

  • Set an optional Enrollment deadline, the last moment people can enroll.
  • Clients see all dates before they enroll.

Which one?

  • Clients choose their own time → Appointment
  • Same group time every week, drop in any time → Class
  • Clients sign up for the whole program → Course
