Set Up Two-Way Contact Exchange (Exchange Form)

Learn how to seamlessly capture leads during networking by setting up the two-way contact exchange form. This feature prompts your contacts to instantly share their details directly into your workspace CRM.

How the Exchange Form Works

The exchange form is a powerful tool that enhances lead generation by ensuring you receive contact information immediately after an interaction. Instead of simply giving out your details, this feature creates a reciprocal exchange, capturing valuable lead data.

Setting Up the Exchange Form

Follow these steps to enable and configure the exchange form in your digital business card:

Step 1: Enable the Exchange Form

Before visitors can submit their information, you need to activate the feature:

  1. Open your digital business card in the Card Editor.
  2. Navigate to the Lead Capture settings.
  3. Toggle on the Enable Exchange Info form option.

Step 2: Choose Your Questions

Customize the information you collect by configuring the available fields. The platform includes default fields that you can make visible or required:

  • Default Fields: First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone, Company Name, Job Title or Role, Website, Additional Info.
  • Configuration: Choose which fields are visible to the visitor and which ones are mandatory for submission.
  • "Additional Info" Field: This field is automatically set as a larger, multi-line text box, allowing leads to provide detailed notes.

Step 3: The Visitor Experience

When you share your card with the exchange form enabled, your contact will encounter the following:

  • The Prompt: While viewing your live card, they will see an option to "Exchange info".
  • The Form: Clicking this button opens a clean, mobile-friendly form that overlays your card. The form uses your card's custom button and background colors.
  • Validation: As the visitor fills out the form, any attempt to submit without completing a required field will trigger an error message (e.g., "Please fill in Email.").
  • Submission: Upon clicking "Send," their data is securely transmitted and recorded as a captured lead in your analytics.
  • Confirmation: The form window updates to show a "Thanks!" message, confirming successful submission and indicating that you will be in touch soon.

Step 4: Finding Your Captured Leads

Once a form is submitted, the system automatically creates a new contact profile in your workspace CRM. You can access all your captured leads by:

  1. Navigating to your Contacts page from the main dashboard.
