How to Import and Export Contacts

Open Contacts and select Add Contact to see all the options.

Import from a CSV file

  1. Select Import.
  2. Step 1: Select Download Template and put your data in that format.
  3. Step 2: Drop your CSV file or select Select a CSV. The maximum size is 10 MB.
  4. Check the column mapping. Banana shows a preview of the first 3 rows. Choose — Skip — for columns you don't need.
  5. Select Import (number) rows.

A First Name column is required. If a contact already exists, Banana adds the new information to it instead of creating a duplicate.

Import from Google Contacts

  1. Select Import from Google.
  2. If asked, connect Google Contacts on the Integrations page and allow Contacts access.
  3. Search, then select the contacts you want, or use Select all.
  4. Select Import contacts.

Export

  • All contacts: select Export in the Add Contact options to download a file.
  • One contact: open the contact and select Download contact (VCF) to save it to any address book.

Import and export may be limited to workspace admins.
