How to Delete a Workspace Permanently
Deleting a workspace permanently removes its data and cannot be undone. Download or copy anything you need before continuing.
Important: only the workspace creator can delete a workspace. If you are a member of a team workspace, use Leave team instead or contact the workspace owner.
Before you delete the workspace
Deleting a personal workspace removes:
- All business cards and their data
- All contacts and lead captures
- All tasks and pipelines
- All templates and brand assets
- All uploaded media and files
- Workspace settings and preferences
For a team workspace, deletion also removes team members, pending invitations and shared team settings. Activated physical cards are reset rather than destroyed, so they can be activated again later.
Delete the workspace
- Open the workspace switcher in the sidebar.
- Choose the edit option for the workspace you want to remove.
- Scroll to Actions.
- Select Delete workspace. For a team workspace, select Delete team.
- Review the list of data that will be erased.
- Tick the confirmation box to acknowledge that the deletion is permanent.
- Click Delete workspace or Delete team.
- Keep the window open while the deletion is processing.
After deletion, Banana Cards removes the workspace from your account and clears it as your active workspace.
Delete versus leave a team
- Delete workspace/team: removes the workspace and its data for everyone. This is available only to the creator.
- Leave team: removes only your membership. The workspace and other members remain.
If you only want to stop working in a shared team, do not delete it—choose Leave team instead.
If the delete option is missing
You may not be the workspace creator, or the workspace may be managed by another owner. Ask the creator to delete it, or leave the team if you no longer need access.
