How to Edit or Remove Team Members

Managing your workspace's team members is crucial for maintaining security and efficiency. This guide explains how workspace Owners and Admins can easily edit user roles, adjust page-level permissions, or remove members when they leave the organization.

Editing a Team Member's Role and Page Access

You can modify an existing team member's role or control their access to specific pages directly from the Team Management window.

  1. Open Team Settings: Navigate to your dashboard, click on your workspace settings, and then select Team members to open the management window.
  2. Select the Member: Find the user you want to update in the list of active members. Click the arrow icon next to their name to open their profile.
  3. Change Their Role: Use the Role dropdown menu to switch the user between Member and Admin.
  4. Adjust Page Access (Members Only):
    • If the user has the Member role, you'll see a Page access section with individual workspace pages listed.
    • Use the toggle switches next to each page to grant or revoke access.
    • Note: Admins and Owners have unrestricted access to all pages by default, so these toggles will not be available for their roles.
  5. Save Changes: Click the Save changes button in the bottom right corner to apply the updated permissions immediately.

Removing a Team Member

Removing a user instantly revokes their access to the workspace and frees up their paid seat for a new team member.

  1. Follow steps 1 and 2 above to open the team member's profile.
  2. In the bottom left corner of their profile window, click the Remove from team button (indicated by a trash can icon).
  3. A confirmation prompt will appear. Click the Yes, remove button to finalize the removal.

⚠️ Important Limitation:

The designated workspace Owner cannot be removed from the team. To remove yourself as the Owner, you must first transfer ownership to another Admin or delete the entire workspace.
