How to Generate a Review QR Code for Your Storefront

A review QR code gives customers a quick way to open your Banana review card from a counter sign, receipt, menu or display. The QR code always points to that card's public review page.

Prepare the review card

1. Open Reviews.
2. Create or activate a review card if you do not have one yet.
3. Click Edit card.
4. Give the card a recognizable name, such as “Front desk — Hair Salon.”
5. Paste your Google Business Review URL:
   1. Open your Google Business Profile.
   2. Select the correct business.
   3. Click Ask for reviews.
   4. Copy the link and paste it into Banana Cards.
6. Turn on Published and save the card.

Publishing is important: an unpublished card will not provide the intended public experience when someone scans its QR code.

Generate the QR code

1. Find the review card on the Reviews page.
2. Click the QR code icon on the card.
3. Check the live preview and the public address shown below it.
4. Choose a style:
   • Classic is available on the free plan.
   • Rounded, Dots and Gradient require a paid plan.
5. Choose foreground and background colors with enough contrast for reliable scanning.
6. Click Download PNG.

The downloaded file is named with the review card's public identifier and is ready for use in your design.

Use it in print

• Keep a clear white or light margin around the QR code.
• Do not stretch, crop or place text over it.
• Print it large enough to scan from the expected distance.
• Avoid reflective surfaces and low-contrast color combinations.
• Test the final printed version on both iPhone and Android before displaying it.

Test before sharing

Scan the code with a phone camera and confirm that:

1. The correct Banana review page opens.
2. Your logo, colors and feedback options look right.
3. A positive response can continue to the correct Google review page.

If the wrong page opens, return to Edit card and check the Google Business Review URL and the card's public link.
